By purchasing a ticket, attending, or participating in any Laugh Out LIVE! event, performance, production, activation, workshop, festival, or related experience (collectively, the “Event”), you acknowledge and agree to the following legally binding terms:

1. Nature of Events

Laugh Out LIVE! produces live entertainment experiences that may include comedy performances, immersive or interactive theatre, audience participation, movement of performers and guests throughout the venue, food and beverage service, alcohol service, amplified sound, lighting effects, staging elements, and events hosted at third-party venues. You understand that Events may be dynamic, loud, socially interactive, and may involve close proximity to performers and other attendees. Event formats may vary and may evolve without prior notice.

2. Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that attendance at live entertainment events involves inherent risks, both known and unknown. These risks may include, without limitation, slips, trips, and falls; injuries arising from crowd movement or accidental contact; food-related illness or allergic reactions; alcohol-related incidents; property damage or loss; emotional distress arising from interactive or comedic content; and other foreseeable or unforeseeable risks associated with public gatherings.

You freely and voluntarily assume all such risks and accept full responsibility for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or expense that you may suffer arising from or in connection with your attendance or participation in the Event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

3. Release and Waiver of Claims

In consideration of being permitted to attend the Event, you hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Laugh Out LIVE!, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, performers, volunteers, sponsors, venue owners, venue operators, affiliates, and partners (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating to injury, illness, death, property damage, or other loss sustained during or in connection with the Event.

This release includes, without limitation, claims arising from the negligence of the Released Parties, to the fullest extent permitted by the laws of British Columbia.

4. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your conduct at an Event, including but not limited to damage to venue property, injury caused to another guest, violation of Event or venue policies, or any unlawful act committed by you.

5. Personal Responsibility and Conduct

You agree to behave in a respectful and lawful manner at all Events. Laugh Out LIVE! reserves the right to refuse admission, refuse service, or remove any attendee without refund for intoxication, harassment, unsafe conduct, disruptive behaviour, or failure to comply with venue or Event policies. You acknowledge that immersive or interactive performances may involve direct engagement with performers; however, you remain solely responsible for your actions and responses.

6. Alcohol and Food Service

Where alcohol is served, you confirm that you will only consume alcohol if you are of legal drinking age in British Columbia (19 years or older). You accept full responsibility for your alcohol consumption and any resulting behaviour. You further acknowledge that food may be prepared by third-party venues or caterers, and you are responsible for communicating any allergies or dietary restrictions in advance. Laugh Out LIVE! is not responsible for allergic reactions or food-related illness except as required by law.

7. Medical Consent

In the event of injury or medical emergency, you authorize Event staff to seek medical assistance on your behalf if deemed necessary. You agree that any resulting medical costs are your sole responsibility.

8. Photography, Video & Media Release

You acknowledge that Events may be photographed, audio recorded, or filmed for promotional, marketing, archival, or commercial purposes. By attending, you grant Laugh Out LIVE! the irrevocable right to use your image, likeness, voice, or appearance in any media worldwide, in perpetuity, without compensation or further approval.

9. Third-Party Venues

Many Events are hosted at independently owned venues. You acknowledge that venue operators may have separate rules, policies, and safety procedures, and you agree to comply with them. Laugh Out LIVE! is not responsible for acts or omissions of third-party venue operators except as required by law.

10. Changes, Cancellations & Force Majeure

Laugh Out LIVE! reserves the right to modify programming, performers, seating arrangements, menu offerings, event timing, or venue details without prior notice. In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, government orders, public health emergencies, labour disruptions, or other force majeure events, liability shall be limited to ticket value as determined by applicable refund policies.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of the Released Parties for any claim arising out of or relating to an Event shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the applicable ticket.

12. Minors

If an attendee is under the age of 19, a parent or legal guardian purchasing a ticket on their behalf agrees to these Terms and assumes all risks on behalf of the minor to the extent permitted by law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of British Columbia.

14. Binding Agreement

By purchasing a ticket, checking the required acknowledgment box, or attending an Event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to be bound by these Terms, and that you understand you are waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not attend the Event.
